Jaxson Dart announced via social media on New Year’s Day he would be returning for another season of football at Ole Miss.
Huge news as rumors begin to swirl around players returning, NIL deals and on the heels of a monumental 11-2 season in Oxford. Dart was an enormous piece of the puzzle for the success of the season as he compiled 3,364 passing yards with 23 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
Yes, the Bulls intro music is automatic goosebumps for anyone over 30, so thank you for that, Dart. The rising senior QB also will have a chance to probably break just about every Ole Miss record if next season is anything like the 2023 campaign.
He has already passed for more than 6,000 yards in two seasons and rushed for more than 1,000 yards while scoring 52 total touchdowns.
Dart also seemed to have a message to some of his teammates and players in the transfer portal - come to the Sip. Until players like running back Quinshon Judkins say it officially, the questions will be raised if they will come back for another season.
But for now, things are shaping up to be one of the most anticipated seasons in Oxford in decades with the return of Dart, a top 20 recruiting class and the most talented transfer class in the country.
