Dayton Wade decides to pursue NFL over final season at Ole Miss

The electrifying wideout is headed to the League

Former walk-on turned contortionist mind-blowing wide receiver Dayton Wade announced Monday his intentions to pursue an NFL career rather than return for a final season of college football.

Wade, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., transferred to Ole Miss from Western Kentucky where he was slightly used and has become one of the most valuable receiving threats for the Rebels this season. News of his departure was first reported by 247Sports based on an interview on SEC This Morning.

Wade had 27 receptions for 309 yards and three touchdowns in 2022 before becoming a much bigger part of the offense this season. The senior wideout notched 52 receptions for 769 yards and four touchdowns in 2023.

Undoubtedly, Wade will be remembered most for his unbelievable ability to make the impossible seem possible when the ball is thrown his way.

Both of these photos show just how much Wade put his body on the line for the Rebels to have success this season and why he’ll be a commodity slot receiver at the next level. As a fan, you can’t help but want him to come back for a final year, but this could be his best chance to go get drafted and make his career. Best of luck, cheers and Hotty Toddy!
