How to watch Ole Miss vs Mount St. Mary’s: Tipoff time, TV Schedule and streaming options

The one where they avoid the let down

NCAA Basketball: Memphis at Mississippi Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

It has taken Chris Beard no time putting Ole Miss basketball back onto the national radar and that’s exactly why Keith Carter made this hire.

At 7-0, with wins over Temple, NC State and Memphis, the Rebels could see themselves 13-0 heading into Knoxville on January 6th to open SEC play. The last time something like that happened? Andy Kennedy’s 2007-2008 Ole Miss squad.

Ole Miss received five votes in the latest AP poll. Since that poll, the Rebs are 2-0 with a win over No. 26 Memphis. The Rebs could sneak in soon if they continue to take care of business.

But before we jump to 13-0, the Rebels must go 1-0 tomorrow night. Mount St. Mary’s is 2-5 on the season with a 15-point loss on the road to Maryland and 11-point loss at Georgetown as notable results.

The Mount is led by senior guard Dakota Leffew who is a volume scorer. He is going to jack up shots because it seems like he’s all they have. Freshman guard De’Shayne Montgomery is their second leading scorer at 13.0 ppg, coming off the bench. This is likely going to be a low scoring night for the opponent as the Rebel defense will be stifling.
