The Ole Miss men’s basketball team is off to an 11-0 start for the fourth time in school history in case you’ve spent the last few weeks tweeting at recruits.
Please folks, don’t tweet at the croots. Back to basketball.
Now, a neutral site game against Southern Miss and a home game against Bryant are all that stand in the way of the Rebels entering SEC play unblemished.
In terms of resume building, this contest is a must win for the Rebels. Southern Miss is 6-5 and currently 250th in the NET rankings. A neutral site, Quad IV loss is not an option for Ole Miss who will likely take its lumps in conference play.
There will be a familiar face on the opposing sidelines as former Rebel Austin Crowley is the lead guy in Hattiesburg. Crowley is coming off a 22-point performance, leading the Golden Eagles to a 3-point victory over Lamar.
If you are hoping to watch this game and see what Chris Beard has brewing in Oxford, you will have to do so in person. This game is not going to be televised and will be taking place at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS. Tipoff is at 1:00 p.m. CT, so pack your beach attire and head south for a little Rebel basketball holiday action Saturday.
