Early this morning, Baseball America announced the Ole Miss Rebels were now ranked as the number one team in the country. It’s a tweet heard ‘round the college baseball world if you will.

It's the first time the Rebels are No. 1 in the country since we started our Top 25 in 1981.

The ranking comes on the heels of two top 10 wins the last two days to open the college baseball season, taking down TCU and Texas Tech in the State Farm College Baseball Showdown in Arlington.
Additionally, several of the preseason top ten teams took losses over the weekend. Here’s a look at the entire top 25, which I’m sure Arkansas fans will not get mad about at all.

Arkansas sits at No. 6 despite also beating Texas Tech and shutting out Texas late last night. The Hogs play No. 10 TCU today.
Ole Miss will take on Texas today for its first game as the top ranked team. Games against Arkansas St. and UCF will round out the week.
