What to do if you’re stuck inside for 3+ days

The South has been experiencing crazy winter weather that has limited travel only to back and forth to and from your kitchen.

I am currently in Oxford and haven’t left my house in three days. Luckily, I was prepared and cleaned out Kroger before the storm came. I have been veryyyy bored though and dying for a Sonic Dr. Pepper. With an almost guarantee of being stuck inside for at least two more days, I have come up with some solutions to the boredom.

Rewatch The Season

There is no more football to look forward to until at least September, so reliving some of the best games has been keeping me entertained. If you can only pick one, South Carolina and the bowl game are the most fun. I still refuse to watch the Arkansas game.

Go Sledding

My Vegas blood hasn’t been doing great with the below-freezing temperatures so I might be a little bit of a hypocrite of saying this, but I have been loving the videos. Grab random objects and find a hill. Some of the best ones I’ve seen are grocery carts, laundry baskets, and coolers. Take a few videos, especially if you eat it, and tweet them at Red Cup. We would all like to see it.

Drifting

Tell your family that you are going to go run and get a few more groceries, and then drift your car in a parking lot. Ice can’t wreck your tires, and you probably won’t crash. I accidentally went drifting a few days ago when I attempted to go up a hill in a little sedan. I didn’t make it very far.

Test your best Grove recipe

If all goes well these next few months, there is a pretty good chance that we might be back in the Grove again this Fall. It’s important to dust off those recipe books and make sure they will still taste good this year. If you’re feeling crazy, take them outside and see if they can withstand the cold weather.

Play board games

Games can be so much fun and a great way to show your kids what losing feels like.

Call your grandparents

Being bored inside with nothing to do is the perfect time to call some of your loved ones and ask them about their lives. It’s so awesome to hear all of the cool snow days or crazy college stories they have too. Write them down so you will always remember them. You won’t ever regret it.

Let us know what you guys are doing to keep warm and entertained out there! Stay safe!
