Ole Miss fans walking in a desert of football news were served a small oasis Monday - a week one opponent for the revised September 26 kickoff.
The Rebels will battle the Florida Gators and Dan Mullen on September 26 in Oxford. The last time Ole Miss played Florida the game in the Swamp was a 38-10 disastrous loss in 2015.
ESPN’s Paul Finebaum and Dari Nowkhah released the week one opponents on the SEC Network during Finebaum’s daily talk show. In four hours, fans will find out the rest of the schedule for the Rebels. Florida was already on the Ole Miss schedule, though were originally scheduled much later in the season.
Here’s the entire week one schedule for all the SEC schools:
SEC Week One Slate
Ole Miss vs. Florida
Alabama vs. Missouri
LSU vs. Mississippi St.
Kentucky vs Auburn
Texas A&M vs. Vanderbilt
S. Carolina vs. Tennessee
Georgia vs. Arkansas
The Rebels will likely open as underdogs when Vegas releases its line, and Brad Powers projects the line to open at -9 in favor of Florida.

Alabama (-23.5) at Missouri

The SEC will announce the full schedules at 6 p.m. with each member institution playing a 10-game all conference schedule this season, which has been significantly impacted by COVID-19.
