Who knows if the XFL will continue.
Or anything.
Nothing matters, eat at Arby’s
DC Defenders 15, St. Louis BattleHawks 6
It was bound to happen eventually. Jordan Ta’amu and the Battlehawks offense couldn’t get it done, going just 4-of-16 on third downs in their loss to the District of Columbia. St. Louis out gained the Defenders in both total yards and yards per play, but they aren’t called the Defenders for nothing.
Ta’amu was 15-for-25 on the day for 174 yards, along with five carries for 31 yards but was held scoreless over the last 39:53 of the game. The loss dropped the BattleHawks into a three-way tie atop the Eastern Conference with DC and New York.
Still, folks are taking notice of his talent at quarterback.

Houston Roughnecks 32, Seattle Dragons 23
DeMarquis Gates had another big week, and Houston won another game. Same intro as last week. The only thing more inevitable than the spread of the Coronavirus seems to be Gates having a monster week in the XFL. This time, he had four tackles, a sack, a quarterback hurry, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. In a game decided by one possession, he made all the difference.
Houston is the only unbeaten team remaining in the XFL and they’ve got a three game lead in the Western Conference. Gates also was ejected following the forced fumble, but we won’t discuss that.
An INSANE sequence that you'll only see in @xfl2020. @XFLRoughnecks LB DeMarquis Gates recovered the game-sealing fumble, was then ejected for throwing a punch and signed autographs on his way out! The #XFL is simply unlike anything else.https://t.co/Luk5Ts4qmB

LA Wildcats 41, Tampa Bay Vipers 34
Daronte Bouldin was inactive in the loss for the Vipers.
Team 9
Former Reb turned Grambling standout Devante Kincade was picked up this week and placed on Team 9. You may remember, Team 9 is basically a practice squad for the entire league. As quarterback injuries build up, and they always do, look for Kincade to get placed on an active roster before the season ends.
QB Devante Kincade ( @KincadeTheHulk ) has signed with the XFL Practice Only Team 9. After transferring from Ole Miss, Kincade threw 54 Touchdowns and only 8 interceptions for the @GSU_TIGERS . He also ran for 10 Touchdowns. Has stints in the CFL and IFL on his resume.
