Ole Miss baseball is among the hottest teams in the country, riding a seven game win streak into the Keith LeClair Classic in Greenville, N.C.
This will be the first road trip for the Ole Miss Rebel baseball team as it opened the season with eight home games against Louisville, Alcorn State, Xavier, and Southern Miss. The host school for the LeClair Classic is East Carolina University.
Keith LeClair, the second-winningest baseball coach in ECU history, died from ALS at the early age of 40, and the program hosts an annual tournament in his name to bring awareness to the devastating disease. The Pirates have been champion or co-champion of 10-of-the-16 classics, and it has attracted nationally prominent programs like Arizona State and NC State in the past — and now the No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels (7-1).
First up against Ole Miss are the High Point Panthers (5-4) who started its baseball team just 20 years ago. This game will not have any streaming options that we have been able to find. The only streamed game will be against Top-25 ECU on Saturday.
If you’re wanting to follow along with the action, you can listen in on the Ole Miss Radio Network or follow live stats on the Ole Miss Athletics website.

Junior short stop Anthony Servideo is looking to build further momentum after being awarded National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball for hitting three dingers and batting .500 at the plate against Alcorn St. and Xavier in a 4-0 week for the team. Ole Miss dominated Xavier 35-3 in its three weekend games and beat Alcorn in extra innings with a walk-off Servideo bomb.
The Rebels were able to squeeze a victory in the mid-week against Southern Miss on Tuesday in Oxford, 4-3. Ole Miss and High Point have never played each other, so this will be a little piece of history when the game is played Friday.
On Saturday, the biggest game on paper for the weekend will be the match of top 25 Ole Miss and ECU. The Rebels will send Gunnar Hoglund to the mound with his 3.18 ERA to face the Pirates’ Tyler Smith who has a minuscule ERA of 0.93 though it is in limited innings.
Ole Miss’ final game of the weekend will come against the very spunky Indiana Hoosiers. IU has already taken down the likes of nationally recognized programs like LSU, South Alabama and ECU. The Hoosiers will send the ever dangerous TBA to start on Sunday while the Rebels will counter with freshman Derek Diamond who has been impressive in his first two starts.
