The grass has been cut and has taken its special hue of green awaiting the season’s arrival.
New faces and names are ready to take the field for the Rebels while tents are popping up in right field this morning to provide shade for the eager masses with their plastic cups full of frothy beer.
One question bangs around in our mind, however. It seems to be one that has been around for almost a decade now.
National pundits will undoubtedly think this question is crazy, but for the die hard Ole Miss baseball fan, if you aren’t asking this question on a regular basis, you aren’t running an extremely competitive, nationally recognized program.
This week’s Thursday question is a simple one.
What does Mike Bianco have to do this year to keep his job?
Don’t mistake the question for “what do you hope the baseball team does this year?” It’s asking for the bare minimum required to stay on at Ole Miss. The man has built the program, but the repeated super regional trips with one appearance in Omaha has some fans restless.
