There was going to be a full, seven-game, SEC slate of football gracing our televisions - until 2020 and COVID had something to say about it.
Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey said on ESPN’s College Gameday this morning that players opting out of this season and contact tracing, not positive COVID results, are what caused cancellations this week. Sounds like a personal problem, you guys.
But the very hard working staff at Red Cup still made its picks for this week with only three games to be played in the SEC including Ole Miss’ tilt with South Carolina. When it comes to picking the moneyline, the Cup unanimously chose Kentucky over Vandy, Florida over Arkansas, and Ole Miss over South Carolina.
Wow, get to the Mississippi Gulf Coast or Tunica, throw your 401K at that parlay, and quit your job Monday maybe, or bet responsibly - ball is in your court.
The Cup also unanimously agrees about Vandy being a dumpster fire and will lose by 18 or more to Kentucky. We’re not really going out on a limb there if Ole Miss’ 30-point thrashing of the ‘Dores was any indication of today’s game.
Though we picked Florida and Ole Miss, the Cup is split on how big these wins will be with three of our seven pickers going with South Carolina to make tonight’s game in Oxford closer than Vegas expects. Here’s our full slate of picks for your betting pleasure:
