Ole Miss vs. Kentucky 2020: Time, TV schedule, and online streaming

Let’s get a road win, shall we?

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Auburn John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Last week was fun!

Despite losing by 16 to a top-five team, Lane Kiffin and his new staff have brought back optimism and excitement to Ole Miss football. The offense racked up over 600 yards of offense, 35 points, and Matt Corral and Elijah Moore had breakout performances.

Now, 0-1 on the season, the Rebels travel north to Kentucky to take on the 0-1 Wildcats who are coming off a loss on The Plains to the Auburn Tigers. Quarterback Terry Wilson, who is coming off an ACL injury, had an up-and-down game, throwing for 239 yards and one touchdown. Kavosiey Smoke continues to be an impressive back, but he only ran the football seven times last weekend. How many touches will he get against a Rebel defense that was sliced and diced by the Florida Gators?

Josh Ali seems to be Wilson’s No. 1 target out wide, hauling in nine receptions for 98 yards. The Rebels struggled to defend the pass last weekend against a talented bunch from Gainesville, but will Eddie Gran and Darin Hinshaw be able to expose DJ Durkin and Chris Partridge’s secondary for the second week in a row?

These are the questions for this weekend that will eventually be answered in due time Saturday afternoon.

The Rebels have a real shot to challenge Stoops’ defense with their vertical passing game and elite skill players that were able to run all over a Florida Gator defense that is immensely talented. Kiffin and Jeff Lebby’s game plan will dictate the end result. Can they get the running game going and improve on the three yards per carry from last weekend? Will Kenny Yeboah get involved earlier than the fourth quarter? Who will join Dontario Drummond and Elijah Moore in the receiver room to pick up the slack?

The good news is we will get to find out on Saturday.

LFG.
