Ole Miss vs. Auburn 2020: Time, TV schedule, and online streaming

Who will flinch first?

NCAA Football: Auburn at South Carolina Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Well, last week was a mixed bag, huh? The defense played well and gave the potent Ole Miss offense enough chances to win their second conference game of the 2020 season. The only problem was that Lane Kiffin and Jeff Lebby’s offense was bogged down in the Northwest Arkansas mud.

Matt Corral and Co. were Jekyl & Hyde last week, turning the ball over seven times and leaving 14-points out there on the one-yard line TWICE, essentially giving Arkansas the 33-21 victory.

All that is over and done with now and the Rebels (1-3) turn their attention to the Auburn Tigers (2-2) who are coming off a sluggish showing themselves. Gus Malzahn’s bunch got all they could handle from the South Carolina Gamecocks, giving up 16 points in the second half and eventually losing 30-22 in Columbia, S.C. Sophomore quarterback Bo Nix hasn’t been his usual good-to-pretty good self under center and aside from Tank Bigsby, they don’t have a marquee running back that we typically see in the blue and orange.

As usual, somethings gotta give on Saturday.

Kevin Steele’s bunch, albeit missing the big-time names up front from a year ago, are still going to be well-prepared and physical. So how will Corral and Co. bounce back from a lackluster performance in Fayetteville? Can DJ Durkin’s bunch continue to build on their showing seven days ago? Can anyone help Elijah Moore and Kenny Yeboah shoulder the load through the air for Ole Miss?

The Rebels’ 26th-ranked offense going against the Tigers’ 22nd-ranked defense will be a ton of fun, but I have a feeling the game will be decided when Ole Miss’ 79th-ranked defense is trying to stop Auburn’s 42nd-ranked offense.

Chad Morris vs Durkin and Chris Partridge. What a time to be alive.

All of these things will be answered on the natural grass surface in Oxford, Miss. at 11am Central Daylight Time. Cheers.
