Tuesday Question: One of unbridled optimism

YAY THE FOOTBALL TEAM WON A GAME.

Coming into this season, it seemed like the only way the team could conceivably make a bowl was to start off 3-0. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened, but there are still foreseeable futures that see the Rebels bowling.

The offense has two significant playmakers in Scottie Phillips and Elijah Moore. It features a quarterback with absurd arm strength and raw talent. The defense looks like it knows what’s going on, which is a great statement relative to where things stood a year ago. The offensive line...exists.

It’s just that the remaining slate is pretty tough. For your reference, here’s what the Rebels have left on the schedule, currently sitting at 1-1.

  • Cal
  • at Alabama
  • Vanderbilt
  • at Missouri
  • Texas A&M
  • at Auburn
  • New Mexico State
  • LSU
  • at Mississippi State

Considering all these games, and any growth/changes the team might go through, today’s Tuesday question becomes...

What is this team’s path to a bowl?
