When each of Ole Miss’ top targets will announce on National Signing Day

Big names like Jerrion Ealy and Jonathan Mingo will make their announcements on Wednesday.

As of right now, the 2019 Ole Miss recruiting class is sitting in the top-25 of 247Sports’ Composite Team Rankings. Nab a few last-minute targets and that ranking could climb inside the top 20. Lose out on key guys—something that happened a lot during the early signing period—and things will slide the other way.

To help you keep up with all the action on Wednesday, we’ve put together a schedule of when each notable Rebel target will be making his announcement.

Prospects are listed in the order of their scheduled announcement times. We’ve also included where they’ll make their commitment (TV channel, live stream, Twitter, etc.) as well as the hats they’ll be picking from.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Croots tend to change their minds on when they’ll announce. We’ll be doing our best to update this schedule as things develop. Notice something wrong? Drop it in the comments and we’ll change it.

Announcement schedule

4-star WR Jonathan Mingo

When: 7:30 a.m. CT
How he’s announcing: Twitter
Hats on the table: Ole Miss, Georgia, Mississippi State
RCR’s pick: Ole Miss

Mingo’s been committed since July but his decision not to ink during the early period and his recent visits to Starkville have some wary of a flip. I don’t see that happening. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I think Mingo is the next big receiving threat at Ole Miss.

UPDATE: Mingo stuck with Ole Miss.

4-star DE Byron Young

When: 8 a.m. CT
How he’s announcing: Twitter
Hats on the table: Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU
RCR’s pick: Alabama

An early favorite to land at Ole Miss, Young has since trended toward the Tide. He voiced some displeasure on Twitter when some Bama coaches were looking at other positions elsewhere, but I think the Nick Saban machine is too strong here.

UPDATE: Young picked Bama.

3-star DT LeDarrius Cox

When: 8:30 a.m. CT
How he’s announcing: Twitter
Hats on the table: Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee
RCR’s pick: Ole Miss

I don’t think Cox follows through with his current commitment to the Vols on Wednesday. The Rebs got the last official visit, though Auburn is very much in the mix. This one is a toss up.

UPDATE: Cox made the flip. He’s a Rebel.

3-star DE Brandon Mack

When: 10 a.m. CT
How he’s announcing: Twitter
Hats on the table: Ole Miss
RCR’s pick: Ole Miss

Don’t expect any drama from Mack, who committed to Ole Miss in late December.

UPDATE: Mack signed, as expected.

5-star RB Jerrion Ealy

When: 11:15 a.m. CT
How he’s announcing: ESPN2
Hats on the table: Ole Miss, Alabama, Clemson, Mississippi State
RCR’s pick: Ole Miss/Major League Baseball

The longtime Ole Miss commit dropped his pledge to Rebels last month so he could make an official visit to Clemson. I think he ends up returning to the Rebs on Wednesday, though that possibly won’t matter—the highly-rated baseball prospect is expected to go early in the first round of this year’s MLB Draft. But, could the Kyler Murray situation help the Rebs out?

UPDATE: Ealy signed with Ole Miss. Will he go pro in baseball?

4-star LB Lakia Henry

When: 1 p.m. CT
How he’s announcing: Twitter
Hats on the table: Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas
RCR’s pick: Arkansas

Ole Miss desperately needs a difference maker at the linebacker position, but flipping Henry from his current commitment to the Razorbacks could be a tall order.

UPDATE: Rebels surge late, steal top JUCO linebacker away from Arkansas
