Ole Miss continues to add to their 2020 class now that a new staff is in Oxford. And now with Randy Clements on Lane Kiffin’s staff officially as the offensive line coach, he has added his first prospect into the class now that three-star offensive tackle Tobias Braun has signed with the Rebels.
The Salisbury School (Conn.) behemoth chose the Rebels over Florida State, Arizona State, Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas Tech, and UCF among others.
Braun, originally from Germany, moved to the States and first played high school ball in Texas at Brook Hill. Since moving to the Nutmeg State, he bolstered his offer sheet once coaching staffs caught wind of a massive German offensive tackle mauling people in the Erickson League.

How does he fit in?
The 6’7, 300-pounder is the 64th-ranked tackle in the 2020 class and should be able to come in, get acclimated to Southeastern Conference football, hit the weight room hard, and be ready to contribute after a much-needed redshirt year. Not that that is a detriment, but he will need some fine-tuning since he is still relatively new to football.
Clements was in on him while on staff in Tallahassee and him being able to seamlessly transition to the new gig in Oxford and sign one of his primary targets is a fantastic sign for the future recruiting of the position.
