In another new series this season, we will be keeping you all in the loop with any and every recruit making their way to Oxford, Miss. for Rebel home games. Each week, we will pass along a list that has been compiled of who is expected to make the trek to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to take in a home contest.
The Ole Miss Rebels are back home after a road conference game at Missouri and our new series is back with another list of notable names to keep an eye on this Saturday in Oxford. And this time, the docket is stacked with big-time targets and commits for 2020 and 2021, per Rebel Grove publisher Neal McCready.
We will post their 247Sports profiles so if you would like to learn more about each prospect, simply click on their embedded profile in this here article and it will take you to their respective recruiting profiles housed at the aforementioned recruiting web site.
Week four expected visitor list (in alphabetical order)
Matt Luke and his staff will entertain at least 14 commitments and a number of notable targets this weekend when the Aggies come to town.
The biggest target on the visit list is four-star defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson. The George County prospect is taking yet another unofficial visit to Oxford and is arguably the Rebels’ top target for the 2020 class. Another target to keep an eye on is three-star cornerback Daran Branch from Amite, La. He is unofficially visiting for the game as well and, per McCready, the Rebels appear to be gaining ground in his recruitment.
The other 2020 visitors to keep an eye on are all Ole Miss commits and local four-star athlete Jeremiah Pegues. The nation’s No. 9 athlete is visiting unofficially what seems like the 19th time in 2019.
In 2021, four-star wide receiver Antonio Harmon will be in town again. Baby D.K. Metcalf hails from Kosciusko, Miss., Jacob Peeler’s hometown, and quite possibly might be the Rebs’ No. 1 target for next year’s class. The other notable juniors joining him this weekend are a pair of Madison Central twins (Joseph and Josiah Perryman) and a strong-side defensive end in Jmarion Gooch. The Seymour, Tenn. native already holds offers from Auburn, Florida, State, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, Southern Cal, and Virginia Tech.
BONUS HOOPS VISITOR
The 2021 in-state product was previously committed to Auburn but has since backed away from that pledge and will be officially visiting Oxford this weekend. The 5’9 point guard is the No. 30 overall player in the country, the top-rated player in Mississippi in next year’s class, AND is currently projected to pick the Rebels, per his 247Sports Crystal Ball.
Alabama, Houston, LSU, and Mississippi State are coming after the top-50 player, but the Rebels appear to be gaining some momentum with the electrifying, above the rim scorer.
Kermit and Co. would love nothing more than to get the 2021 class kicked off with a bang and earning a verbal commitment from a guy like Ruffin would almost certainly do that and then some. Daeshun also seems to be as excited as we all are for this weekend’s game judging by the fact that he retweeted this:
Will be extremely disappointed if it's not packed & loud for Ole Miss' game vs A&M in Oxford this weekend.

Night game with nice weather, SEC West opponent and virtually a bowl playoff game for the Rebels
Vaught–Hemingway better be rocking on Saturday night
