Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech 2018: Time, TV schedule and online streaming

Ole Miss football embarks on its 2018 campaign Saturday against Texas Tech. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN, unless you happen to find yourself inside Houston’s NRG Stadium at the time.

That’s right: someone decided to let the Rebs and Red Raiders enter the building—over Labor Day weekend, no less—and play some football. And play some football they will. Some very fast football.

But Ole Miss and Texas Tech could step up for one of the most laughingly strange bouts of Week 1. It will feature little defense and perhaps in upwards of 1,000 yards of offense combined. Jordan Ta’amu will throw over 300 yards and run in one or two touchdowns, if last season’s per-game averages move forward.

Even given a strong offensive performance by Ole Miss, Texas Tech should (will? could?) answer in kind. Both outfits run elusive schemes with sound athletes all over the offensive perimeter. Maybe the running game will break one or the other’s bac—[cough-laughing fit].
