Despit some horrendous drama and my heart stopping, the Ole Miss Rebels pulled it out of the fire in Hoover on Thursday, winning in extra innings against the Georgia Bulldogs in ridiculous fashion. Now, after projected No. 1 overall pick Casey Mize faltered against the red-hot Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn has to face the Rebs again in a winner-take-all-to-Saturday game at 4pm EST on SEC Network.

Ole Miss will trot out James McArthur but who will Butch Thompson and the Tigers throw? Time will tell as Ole Miss tries to pad their resume for national seed purposes. As of now, it appears the good guys are safe and are in either Tier 1 or Tier 2 per the committee.

But, one more win would be nice, right?

Go see Greg before the Rebs seek revenge against Auburn and snag some choice meat to grill out for graduation from LB’s Meat Market, the official sponsor of this here podcast and the best protein for your Ole Miss baseball grilling needs. Also, the BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW food truck will be out and about on The Square. So go get some!

And if you like gambling and good food AND watching the SEC Baseball Tournament, head down south to Biloxi after this weekend’s series to Harrah’s Gulf Coast for some blackjack, slots, Southern cooking from our good friend, Kelly English, at the Magnolia House, and SOON TO BE HOME TO A SPORTSBOOK. What’s not to like? Winning money, drinking, indoor/outdoor sports bar, STARBUCKS, and our pal Kelly whipping stuff up in a crock pot probably. Go down to the Coast and tell em Red Cup sent ya!
