After a one-day postponement, the Tigers and Rebs go off in Memphis on Wednesday night.

Mike Bianco takes his No. 3-ranked Ole Miss baseball outfit up to Memphis on Wednesday for a midweek one-off that will never feel like a guaranteed win on the front end. That hesitance comes notwithstanding the Rebs’ 8-6 win over Memphis in Oxford back on February 20.

With the prospect of foul weather blasting through the tri-state area on Tuesday evening, both clubs elected to preemptively move the game back to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Oxford Eagle’s Davis Potter reports that Houston Roth will get the nod to start in AutoZone Park.

The Tigers are currently struggling with a 9-19 record on the year, and they’re welcoming in yet another SEC midweek opponent on Wednesday, after dropping an 8-7 nail-biter to No. 5 Arkansas last week. That Arkansas loss marks the Tigers’ 14th win this year by fewer than three runs.

Memphis has won back-to-back games only twice this season.

It appears that streaming options for this one are limited to the Memphis Sports Network, which requires signup and login information. Sorry, y’all. If you do manage to catch the stream, go ahead and yell about the game in the comments below.
