The Rebels bounced back from yet another Friday night loss and back-ended the Georgia series. It was their third back-ended series in the SEC, the most since 1982, and now they’re 32-9 (10-8) and first in SEC West. Now, they will head on over to Pearl to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs who are fresh off a sweep of former-top 5 Arkansas and the good guys should have revenge on their mind after they dropped two-of-three three weeks ago.
After a midweek contest, Ole Miss returns to Oxford to host LSU for a huge SEC series that could catapult Ole Miss into the thick of the national seed conversation. Despite being 24-17 (9-9), .289 team batting average, a 4.39 team ERA, and a sweep at the hands of South Carolina last weekend, if the Rebs can take care of business and possibly maybe sweep the Bayou Bengals, the committee will certainly take notice and then some.
- Is Will Stokes back?
- Why does Mike Bianco keep throwing Parker Caracci in non-save situations?
- If the Rebs win on Tuesday will that help you forget the series loss at The New Dude?
- Can Will Golsan continue to turn up?
- Do we think Dallas Woolfolk is on the cusp of returning to his old self?
The Sway welcomes in the Corndog Crewe for Double Decker so you definitely need some meat. So get on over to LB’s Meat Market, the official sponsor of this here podcast, and get the best protein for your Ole Miss baseball and softball grilling needs. Also, speaking of softball, the BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW food truck will be in left field ALL SEASON LONG!
And if you like gambling and good food, head down south to Biloxi after this weekend’s series to Harrah’s Gulf Coast for some blackjack, slots, and good Southern cooking from our good friend, Kelly English, at the Magnolia House. What’s not to like? Winning money, drinking, indoor/outdoor sports bar, STARBUCKS, and our pal Kelly whipping stuff up in a crock pot probably. Go down to the Coast and tell em Red Cup sent ya!
