Podcast Rebellion: Another opportunity arises for Ole Miss baseball

After dismantling the Golden Eagles, Rebs go on the road again to take on the Commodores.

Well, that’s much better, huh?

The No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels absolutely dominated the No. 13 Southern Miss Golden Eagles in Pearl on Tuesday night and are back in the proverbial saddle again. After handling business and sweeping Southern Miss, yet again (4th-straight win), the good guys will now hit the road for Nashville to take on the 15th-ranked Commodores for a chance to get back into the thick of the national seed hunt.

Mike Bianco’s club now sits at 21-1 in non-conference games this season and 28-6 overall. They now head to Music City with a chance to win yet another conference series and get to 30 wins before the halfway mark of April. And it could happen because Tim Corbin’s club isn’t its usual juggernaut self, hitting less than .280 as a team, the usual suspects struggling, and their bullpen being a little light in the britches these days.

So can they do it?

  • Is Houston Roth making a run at more weekend time?
  • Should Chase Cockrell stay in the 8-hole?
  • Can Nick Fortes and Cooper Johnson slow down Vandy’s run game?
  • Will Austin Miller get a shot this weekend to prove himself?
  • Where should we eat brunch on Sunday?

The Sway may not be hosting a game for a while, but you still need some meat.
