Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State basketball 2017: Time, TV schedule, and online streaming

The Egg Basket picks right back up in Oxford. Let’s do it.

Ole Miss won the Egg Bowl, in case you missed that news. Rebel hoops has fared rather middling in the early season, grabbing a win over last year’s final four club South Carolina, then dropping a head-scratcher at Georgia, whom the Rebs have historically struggled against for some reason.

On Saturday evening, the Hoopsharks host Mississippi State in The Pavilion, and the Rebs sit more than 20 rankings spots below the Bulldogs at present according to KenPom’s latest calculus. Remarkably, the Rebs rank No. 49 in Pomeroy’s adjusted offense quotient, while CLANGA ranks down at No. 119. This game will be a game of scoring.

The Rebs can’t play defense for shit right now. Terence Davis, the team’s best scorer and philosophical center, can’t help but foul on any given drive to the basket. That needs to change. State ranks No. 33 in Pomeroy’s adjusted defense rating, while Ole Miss ranks No. 173. Again, scoring is going to decide this one.
