Welcome back to Ole Miss football, AKA CHAOS TEAM. This week we’re listening to Justin Townes Earle’s “Lone Pine Hill,” one of the greatest documents of southern American writing and music ever produced. It’s eerie, it’s grim, and it’s downright sexy. It’s about a woman. A GHOST WOMAN. I mentioned him in this week’s 24 hours post, because he’s somehow soothing when I’m going through some shit.
Saturday of course welcomes UT-Martin to Oxford for some good old fashioned ax-fighting. The last time these two dancing partners met, Ole Miss won by the score of 76-3. Let’s hope for a repeat, if not a more impressive performance. We shall see.
As ever, I’ll hang around during the game to moderate and chat. Ask me anything. I’m staying in Chucktown for the duration of the hurricane proceedings, so that’s good.
Also definitely go back and check out everything we’ve spit out this week and weekend. It’s quite good, in my opinion, and I’m especially proud of Will, Gray, and Zach for the hard work they put in to get us ready for this mediocre-fest.
