Podcast Rebellion: David Brandt previews UT-Martin and recaps week one in the SEC

The Associated Press sports reporter joins to give his thoughts on the Rebs matchup with fake Auburn and the week that was.

Wait, is it already week six? Did we fast forward to the first week of October? No, it’s just The University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks tricking you with their daggum navy blue and orange Under Armour uniforms. Jason Simpson’s squad will stroll into the Vaught this weekend and attempt to pull off the unthinkable: upset the 1-0 and possible Capital One Bowl-bound Ole Miss Rebels. The SkyNOTS are also undefeated and are chomping at the bit to not be able to tackle the Ole Miss receivers and watch Shea Patterson do his thing.

Luckily, we have the pleasure of welcoming in AP writer David Brandt to give us his hot taeks on how he thinks this weekend’s game will go, what he thought of the Rebs last week and how he felt week one went for the rest of the SEC. He will also give us his thoughts on the COI hearing on September 11th, who has to show, who might not show and how it will impact the rest of the season.

We will also cover an array of topics like

  • Tennessee, it is not your year, sorry.
  • Can Nick Fitzgerald get any help?
  • Florida and Jim McElwain are a comic strip.
  • Jake Bentley might be the best quarterback in the East.
  • David and I miss Jefferson Pilot Sports dearly.
  • Alabama was pre—zzzz zzz zz z
