Welcome to college football Saturday. Did you properly and egregiously imbibe on Friday night? We sure as hell did and we feel terrible. Pretty much the perfect mindset for what’s about to go down Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
ANYWAY, there’s no telling what’s going to happen in Tuscaloosa. Shithouse rat offense vs. stalwart defense. Maybe Ole Miss will hang around for a quarter or two before the inevitable guillotine. Maybe it’ll be a real ballgame because Phil Longo dials up some weirdness that Bama can’t handle and the defense actually provides some, well, DEFENSE. We just don’t know.
What we do know is that this game is kicking off at 8 p.m. local time in Alabama on no less a network than ESPN, and that’s always fun. This is basically a replay of the 2015 madness, just with Ole Miss working in a more CHAOS MODE and Alabama doing what Alabama does.
AJ Brown, Sean Rawlings, and Gary Wunderlich are all up in the air as to whether they’ll actually play. Lord knows the Rebs need all three of them.
We’ll have your open thread later tonight. Lohmar and Matthew Forgette are co-bylining the postgame recap, which might be a mess. We’ll give you our best, but, like you, we’ll be supremely over the moon.
Let’s do it.
