Podcast Rebellion: A former South Alabama TE tells us what it’s like to be recruited by Houston Nutt

Former Jags tight end Grant Powell and Ole Miss Sports’ Brian Rippee join the 'cast to break down week one of CHAOS SZN.

Week 1 of 2017 is finally here and a potential trap game awaits the Ole Miss CHAOS Rebels on Saturday. Newly-tagged interim coach Matt Luke who does not think a hot dog is a sandwich will do battle against the Sun Belt’s South Alabama Jaguars. On this week's preview 'cast, we're joined by Ole Miss Sports’ very own, Brian Rippee, to discuss all the ins and outs surrounding the team as they embark on a season in which they cannot go to a bowl game, not sure if you’ve heard.

We talk about Longo Ball, the question marks in the trenches and if the Rebels’ talented o-line can finally put it together, South Alabama’s chaos tendencies of their own and what the general mood has been like all camp. Brian will provide us with unique insight within the program and what he thinks of Ole Miss’ potential ceiling this year despite the NCAA cloud looming.

We will also be joined by Grant Powell, a former South Alabama tight end who played for Joey Jones from 2012-2016. He tells us what he thinks the Jags will look like this season, how they stack up defensively against a high-powered Rebel offense, how he would approach being recruited by a team that is under a NCAA investigation and his prediction for Saturday.
