Welcome back to Red Cup Rebellion

Hi. My name is Jim Lohmar, and I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006, then finished a doctorate at the University of Florida in 2013. I spent my first two years of college at Ole Miss — following my uncle John, who did law school in Oxford — and I ran cross country and track for the Rebs until my body couldn’t handle it anymore.

This is Red Cup Rebellion. We are the Ole Miss sports and culture blog on the internet, because we employ extremely funny and personable writers. We also employ writers who think, who crack jokes, who live. They are my favorite people to talk to on a daily basis, and I love editing them.

RCR has undergone a change of editorship because our general, Jeff, has IRL commitments that command his time. He should step away, and he did. He’s still around, though, guiding me through the labyrinth of Egg Bowl internetdom.

We’ve kicked out a lot of great things in the past month. We turned into a FOOD BLOG for 24 hours, and that was one of the best days of my writing and editing life. I’ve asked Gray Hardison to focus on the very worst of Ole Miss football history, because that’s the most inspiring shit to write about right now.

Juco, Ghost, I want them on the site constantly. Hopefully they will do so. You know them. Gray, Will, even Alex, they will be here too. This is the best editorial team I have ever worked with, and they turn in stellar stuff every time.

We’re not going to give you positional previews, because no one reads that shit. Go click on CBS Sports or whatever. We’re going to give you the tough-as-nails stuff that actually matters. We’re RCR.
