Rebel hoops got big news on Wednesday night when Memphis shooting guard Markel Crawford announced his intention to transfer to Ole Miss for his last year of eligibility, giving Andy Kennedy a proven veteran with a unique blend of precision shooting, length and athleticism.
Crawford joins an incoming group of players that includes the No. 1 JUCO prospect in the country and a pair of four-star high schoolers (Ole Miss 2017 ‘crootin class currently ranks 16th in the country). On top of that, the Rebels return a core of promising young players who were beginning to come into their own by the end of last season.
