Ole Miss vs. Eastern Kentucky basketball 2017: Time, TV schedule, and online streaming

Rebs and Colonels on the hardwood on Monday night.

NCAA Basketball: Eastern Kentucky at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Ole Miss is undefeated in basketball after throttling Louisiana-Lafayette, 94-76, in Oxford on Friday night. They repeated the effort on Saturday, topping the Ragin’ Cajuns, 50-22, in football. Not a bad weekend, all told.

The Basketsharks look to continue this string of good play on Monday night against Eastern Kentucky, a weirdo of the Ohio Valley Conference that’s fresh off a narrow 73-72 win over Rice to open the year.

It’s difficult to establish with any certainty the style and context with which EKU plays, but we can say with some level of comfort that Ole Miss is set for a solid year on the hardwood. Devontae Shuler showed out in the season opener, tuning up the Cajuns for 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Terence Davis and Deandre Burnett are back and holding leadership positions, which is encouraging with the departure of Sebastian Saiz.

Whatever happens here, it’s sure to be fun, because this is a fun, energetic, personable team that will do great things this year. Here’s all your viewing information for Monday’s action in Oxford.
