NCAA Basketball: SEC Tournament-Mississippi vs Missouri
When you pick the under.
Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Hello. Welcome to the college basketball season. Ole Miss kicks things off against Louisiana-Lafayette, whom the football Rebs happen to be playing Saturday. What a happy coincidence. We’d go hunt down how many times this has happened in Ole Miss history but we don’t care enough to care, and we’re too busy listening to The Dead South anyway.

Ole Miss showed out in an exhibition against lowly North Alabama, as well they should. North Alabama is very bad, and Ole Miss could be very good this year. Their preseason ranking would place them into the big dance, anyway.

Ole Miss is favored by 11 points on Friday night. ULL is among the better Sun Belt teams coming into this season, and if the Basketsharks drop a season opener to the Ragin’ Cajuns then #FIREAK freaks will come screaming out of the woodwork.

Let this team work. Let this team develop and learn from one another. It’s already a Frankenstein’s monster populated by some very good talent. Long live Devontae Schuler forever.

Below is all the viewing information you need for Friday night’s kickoff game.

How to watch:
