Traffic on this article, like attendance at Swayze Field, has probably dropped to near nothing after Ole Miss' unceremonious two-and-through exit from the NCAA Tournament. Maybe the stray Tulane, Boston College and Utah fan might stumble through, checking to see which of those three teams will replace the Rebs as the winner of the Oxford Regional.
The favorite to win it at this point becomes No. 3 seed Boston College, which knocked off No. 4 Utah on Saturday. The Utes face No. 2 Tulane—fresh off that ninth-inning comeback against Ole Miss—in an elimination game on Sunday. The winner will have to turn around and take two straight games from undefeated BC, which is just a game away from advancing to a super regional (likely against Miami, which is undefeated in the Coral Gables Regional).
The seeds
Ole Miss (43-17 overall, 18-12 SEC, No. 5 RPI)- Tulane (39-19 overall, 15-7 AAC, No. 29 RPI)
- Boston College (31-20 overall, 13-15 ACC, No. 39 RPI)
- Utah (25-27, 19-11 Pac-12, No. 93)
