Ole Miss vs. Arkansas football 2016: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

The Rebs and Razorpigs kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.

NCAA Football: Memphis at Mississippi Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Ever since last year’s 4th-and-25 debacle, Ole Miss fans, players and coaches have had the 2016 Arkansas game circled on their calendars with large, red, tentative strokes. Can Hugh Freeze and company exorcise the BERT Devil Magic? We shall find out Saturday night on ESPN.

At the very least, we can fairly comfortably assume this year’s fracas will not require seven damn overtimes to decide a winner. Bielema lacks that ineffable Houston Nutt flare for the insane, even if he carries his own peculiar sort of charm. That WOOSH you just heard was the collective inhale of Rebel nation the world over, by the way.

Arkansas has had flashes of competence this season, notably an early-season high-profile win over then-No. 10 TCU in (gulp) double overtime. Austin Allen is fearless and apparently made of ultra-reinforced organic material, and he presents an interesting test to the Landsharks’ front seven.

Wherever you’re watching Saturday night, be comforted in the knowledge that everyone here shares your anxiety over the proceedings in Fayetteville. Stay with us throughout the evening for highlights and postgame analysis, dear friends.

Oh yeah, the Rebs are sporting the powder blue helmets, so you know they’re super serious about this one.
