The week following a colossal victory achievement is always a strange time. The college football media has been crawling all over practice and pressers and program facilities. Everyone on campus is just so damn happy to see you and gosh can we talk about how awesome you guys were. It's all too easy to lose sight of what's important, which in this case it's rather pressing that the Rebs continue their dominant streak against the SEC's whipping boy, the Vanderbilt Commodores.
The post-Bama headiness has subsided. Ole Miss now finds itself in the ominous "body blow" position, having just toppled a national heavyweight in 12 full rounds of haymakers and staid evasion. An under-sized and over-matched Vanderbilt team presents just such an opportunity for the Rebs to play miserably down to their opponent on Saturday, and suddenly that No. 3 ranking in the AP Poll ceases to appear so entirely founded.
All of this must be avoided on Saturday, and if things go as they should against the Commodores, Hugh Freeze will dig further into the depth chart and so allow a banged and wearied Rebel squad a modicum of rest.
How to watch

Other games of note
No. 22 BYU at Michigan
This little tea party could get interesting. The Cougars have eked some close wins against Nebraska and Boise State, and it's always fun when air-raid offenses meet with niobid B1G teams. Michigan has been on the up recently, though Harbaugh's quarterbacking troubles leave much room for doubt. BYU in the Big House? Possibility of a ranked team falling to the Wolverines? Noon-time football? Why the heck not.
When: 11 a.m. CT
TV: ABC
Tennessee at Florida
Tennessee and Florida play football against one another every year, and yet every year it seems like some strange September epiphany that Tennessee and Florida are playing football against one another. Like, again, you say? Florida will be without defensive mainstay Jalen Tabor on Saturday, while Tennessee comes to Gainesville water sliding from their preseason top-25 ranking. This affair is always rowdy and the Vols never play well in the pressure cooker of the Swamp.
When: 2:30 p.m. CT
TV: CBS
No. 14 Texas A&M at Arkansas
Alright "at Arkansas" is a bit of a misnomer, inasmuch as this annual shit-show is taking place in Arlington, TX. Still, when commercial breaks start driving you to football withdrawal during the Ole Miss game, click on over to ESPN where you might just witness Bret Bielema roundhouse a donkey.
When: 6 p.m. CT
TV: ESPN
Online Streaming: WatchESPN
Mississippi State at Auburn
LOL. Old people screwin'. You know you want this.
When: 6:30 p.m. CT
