Ole Miss' big win over Alabama earlier this week all but ensured a ticket to the Big Dance, but that doesn't mean that Saturday night's regular season finale at home vs. Vanderbilt isn't important. Seeding for both the SEC and NCAA Tournament is very much on the line.
A win over Vandy locks the Rebel Roundballers into the No. 3 seed next week for the conference tournament, but a loss will drop them into a four-way tie with Texas A&M, LSU and Georgia at 11-7. The tie breaker is the winning percentage of all teams tied together, meaning the Rebs would fall to the six spot (Kentucky and Arkansas are Nos. 1 and 2, respectively).
Of course, all of that affects the seeding for the Dance. SB Nation's latest bracketology projection has Ole Miss as a 9-seed, but Andy Kennedy can improve that with a strong run over the next week.
So let's win tonight and head to Nashville with some momentum. The game's on SEC Network and you can catch in online at WatchESPN.
