Podcast Rebellion 1.4: Rebel Sports Weekend Review and Shea Patterson Announcement is Coming

Podcast bros talk the weekend that was in Oxford and look ahead to a crootin sweepstakes prize that could change everything

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

On this week's podcast, your favorite podcasters recap the Rebels series win over the Tribe of William & Mary, the heartbreaking loss to Arkansas at the Sad Pad and discuss the impending announcement for 2016 five-star root Shea Patterson.

Friday night was another typical Christian Trent outing and the Rebel bats made noise with the new baseball. Game one on Saturday was a different story as Sam Smith had his struggles but game two was a blowout. What do the struggles for the former Sunday Sizzle mean for Mike Bianco's weekend rotation and will the hot hitting from freshman Kyle Watson continue?

It has finally been halted. The six-game winning streak for the Basketbearz was put to rest by the Razorbacks Saturday night in Oxford. Despite out-rebounding the Hogs, Ole Miss gave up a layup with less than six seconds remaining and could not get a bucket late to pull of the stunner against a ranked Arkansas team. Is the Jarvis Summers scoring drought becoming a bigger issue and can the Rebs bounce back in Starkville on Thursday?

Lastly, but certainly not the least in terms of impact, Shea Patterson will announce his future college destination on Tuesday and Michael and Zach discuss what that could mean for Ole Miss as he has been rumored for some time to be heading to Oxford. Could Patterson have a bigger impact than Robert Nkemdiche aka Nkemfucius on the 2016 class and can he be as successful as another certain Louisiana prep quarterback for Hugh Freeze and Co.?

ICYMI, here is Laquon Treadwell aka the Bionic Man running sprints with Denzel Nkemdiche.
