For a few minutes there, it looked like Stefan Moody was for real gonna fulfill his pregame promise to break the Tad Pad record for most threes in a game -- he drilled four treys in the first nine minutes of Tuesday night's game against Louisiana Tech. Moody didn't hit another long one all night (he finished 4-of-9 from behind the arc), but he did pile up 29 points to lead the Rebs to a 99-80 midweek W.

Ole Miss shot 59 percent from the field and put up its highest point total of the season, notching Andy Kennedy's 200th win as the head coach of the Rebs. Sebastian Saiz had a quiet six points but hauled in 15 boards.
After AK said coming into the game that he's looking for a third scorer to emerge behind Moody and Saiz, Tomasz Gielo and Rasheed Brooks both had nice offensive games. Gielo put up 10 points in the first half and finished with 13, his fourth double digit performance of the season. Brooks had his best game as a Rebel, going 4-of-5 from three and pouring in 20 total points.
It's the fifth win in a row for the Rebs, who now find themselves at 8-2 with two non-con contests remaining before the SEC slate kicks off in Lexington. The next game is up in Memphis on Friday, which means there's only one game remaining before the Tad Pad shutters its doors for good. That swan song will be next Wednesday against Troy.
