HATE WEEK: LOUISIANA LAFAYETTE

[REQUIRED READING: Administrative notes, Community Guidelines, and the HATE WEEK disclaimer.]

Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports

I'm guessing that it's going to be pretty tough for us to get our HATIN' on against the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns.

There's the fact that they're a Sun Belt team with which we rarely have any contact whatsoever, that the Rebels are favored to win this one by nearly 30 points on some boards, that they've taken it upon themselves to represent one of America's most unique and celebrated (and, to be fair, reviled) subcultures, and that they have a chili pepper as a mascot.

And then there's that the greatest Ole Miss Rebel sports moment of the 2014 calendar year happened in Lafayette, Louisiana at the expense of the Ragin' Cajuns just a few months ago. I mean, what is there to HATE?

But, alas, here we are. Love 'em or not, it's Louisiana Lafayette game week here at Red Cup Rebellion, which means that...

We are at war with Louisiana Lafayette. We have always been at war with Louisiana Lafayette.
