Ole Miss Offensive Tackle Christian Morris is Cleared to Play by the NCAA

No more waiting for the former four star prospect.

Christian Morris, a former four star offensive tackle prospect from Memphis, Tennessee who transferred to Ole Miss from UCLA this past offseason, was cleared to play by the NCAA earlier this evening.

Rated as a top tackle out of high school, Christian Morris originally signed with UCLA as a part of their 2013 class, but never enrolled in any courses before leaving California to return to the Memphis area. He enrolled in Ole Miss at the beginning of the 2014 spring semester and began working out with the team, but due to the NCAA's transfer rules, he was not eligible to play in 2014 despite not having played in 2013.

Morris tore his achilles in spring workouts, but was practicing with the team this fall in a manner that suggests he is nearly fully recovered from that injury. Listed by Ole Miss as being 6'6" and 335 pounds, Morris has the size to play right away in the Southeastern Conference. With Ole Miss being thin all across the line, this news means that Morris will almost certainly play right away in a reserve capacity.
