First, head Ole Miss Rebel football coach Hugh Freeze.

There are a few big things to take away from this:

  • The NCAA has requested more information regarding Damore'ea Stringfellow's waiver request. That's a good sign, one would have to think. At least it's not "no."
  • Ben Still will start at center, but not because of Robert Conyer's lack of ability there. Rather, Conyers will play a utility role, spelling at center, guard, and right tackle when necessary.
  • Sammie Epps will probably miss the Boise State game, if not more.

Defensive coordinator Dave Wommack is pleased with the defensive line, applaud's Mike Hilton's flexibility, and suggests that he'll be more aggressive with pass rushes this season.

Robert Nkemdiche likes what he sees out of the defensive line, particularly Marquise Haynes. He's also excited to start the season off in his hometown of Atlanta.

And, I don't know if you noticed this or not, but Nkemdiche's a gigantic 19-year-old.
