Class of 2016 Receiver Daniel Crowell Commits to Ole Miss

The Meridian High star marks the fourth commitment for the 2016 class.

Even though 2015's not even here yet, the Ole Miss coaching staff is already hard at work laying the foundation for the Rebels' 2016 class. Part of that foundation is Daniel Crowell, a three-star wide receiver prospect from Meridian, Mississippi who committed to the Rebel coaching staff on Tuesday night.

Crowell is listed as one of Rivals' top-20 Mississippians for the 2016 year, and is considered the third best wide receiver prospect in the state by the same publication. Joining receiver DK Metcalf, halfback Justin Conner, and offensive tackle Eli Johnson, Crowell is a part of a class that is already drawing considerable praise and, interestingly enough, is made up exclusively of Magnolia State prospects at this point.

Listed at 6'0" and 192 pounds, Crowell already has the size of an SEC receiver despite having two seasons of high school football left to play. While Hudl highlights aren't exactly the best medium by which to judge, his show a player who is both big and fast, with the ability to get into open space and pluck the ball out of the air. He'll most definitely be one to watch over the next couple of seasons down in Meridian.
