Ole Misc.: Boise State's Getting Hype for our Game (Which, by the Way, is Just Five Weeks Away)

Wanna get hyped up? Here.

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

The Boise State Broncos have always taken the "we're the plucky, never say die underdogs" mantra very seriously, especially when going up against power conference opponents. Their approach to our game - which is 35 days from now - is no different:

Bring it, Boise. See y'all in Atlanta.

  • Former Ole Miss Rebel Aaron Barrett won a National Anthem contest yesterday for the Nats. He then celebrated as if he won something of consequence. Always a competitor, that Aaron Barrett is.
  • Ole Miss returns the highest percentage of tackles, tackles for a loss, interceptions and pass deflections in the SEC. That's neat.
  • The MHSAA high school championship games will no longer be played at Veterans Memorial in Jackson, but will rather rotate between Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and Davis-Wade Stadium. While it makes geographic and demographic sense to have the games be in a centrally located area, which just so happens to be the state's largest population center, it would do the games well to have them in stadia which don't feel likely to crumble at any given moment.
