Tuesday Question: One of Nostalgia

Generally, we are the "authors" of "content" around here - "here" being a blog and not a message board. Recognize, we do, that you've come here not to contribute, but to consume. Nevertheless, there is the sporadic occasion where, either for our benefit or for to exercise the thinkifiers of the masses, we ask you a question. Today's question is . . .

Take one current Ole Miss Rebel off of this baseball team and replace him with another player from the Bianco era. Who did you just remove, and who is his replacement? Why?

This is a question that I find particularly interesting. I think that this is a good team, and one of the grittier and more exciting Rebel teams Bianco has coached, but it is highly flawed. It doesn't have the elite pitching of years past (Lance Lynn, Drew Pomeranz), nor does it have the monster bats (Brian Pettway, Stephen Head). It does have decent fielding (most of the outfielders + Errol Robinson) and it does have speed (pretty much anybody that isn't Sikes Orvis), but it's still a team that seems one or two players away from transforming from a great team to an elite team.

So, Diamond Rebs fans, make your changes and explain them in the comments section below.
