LSU vs. Ole Miss baseball 2014: TV, radio and online streaming

The Rebs are taking on the Tigers in a nationally televised series with major postseason implications. Oh and it starts on Thursday, so you're gonna be hungover at work/class on Friday morning.

USA TODAY Sports

The Ole Miss and LSU baseball teams begin a three-game series on Thursday, and well, it's kind of a big deal. Here's why:

1. This sucker's gonna be nationally televised. ESPN U has picked up Game 1, hence the Thursday night matchup instead of the typical Friday. FSN will have the Saturday broadcast. There won't be any TV cameras out on Friday, but you'll still be able to watch on Rebelvision, which is pretty much the same thing.

2. The Rebs and Tigers are both top-10 teams. Coming off a series win over Arkansas in Baton Rouge, LSU has climbed as high as No. 7 in the national polls. Ole Miss, of course, took two of three in Starkville last weekend and was rewarded with top-15 rankings across the board, and a No. 10 nod in the Coaches' Poll. The Rebs actually hold a significant advantage in RPI, coming in at No. 5 to LSU's No. 21.

3. They're both vying for the division lead. Bama sits atop the SEC West with a 10-5 conference mark, but Ole Miss and LSU are nipping at their heals. The Rebels are in second with a 9-6 SEC record, a half game above the 8-5-1 Tigers (yea, they tied a baseball game, which is as un-American as putting ketchup on a hotdog). With exactly half of the SEC slate remaining, this series could have monster implications on both conference and national seeding.

4. IT'S LSU vs OLE MISS WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED???
