Ole Miss vs. Arkansas State baseball 2014: Preview, game time and how to watch

The Rebs are back at Swayze on Wednesday night.

Coming off a five-game road trip that included a near-win against the No. 1 team in the nation, the Ole Miss baseballers could use some time at home. Fortunately for Mike Bianco and crew, they get a relatively soft four-game home stand this week, beginning with a Wednesday night matchup with Arkansas State.

Arkansas State carries an 11-8 record into the game, though they haven't really beat anyone of note (hence their 141 RPI). Their latest opponent, UALR, is also the only one they share in common with the Ole Miss. Like the Rebels, the Red Wolves swept UALR in a three-game weekend series.

The Rebs are expected to throw senior lefty Jeremy Massie, who took over the primary mid-week a few weeks back. He sports a 1-1 record with a 2.20 ERA through four appearances and has 11 strikeouts and four walks in 16⅓ innings. He'll face junior right-hander Tanner Gaines, who is 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA.

Once Wednesday is in the rear-view, the Rebs will turn their attention to a weekend home series against Missouri. If traveling to No. 1 South Carolina was the hardest draw the Rebs could have pulled, hosting Mizzou -- the conference's worst team -- is the easiest.

Here are vitals for the Arkansas State game:
