#MarshallMadness: Twitter Hates on Ole Miss' Marshall Henderson

Is there a more polarizing player in college basketball?

Last night, in the midst of Ole Miss' second half comeback against arch-rival Mississippi State in the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament, Marshall Henderson began to trend on Twitter. Unsurprisingly, the non-objective tweets involving the Ole Miss Rebel shooting guard were firmly in two camps: "we love Marshall Henderson and don't want to see him go" and "we want horrible things to happen to him because he makes us irrationally angry."

Here are some tweets from the latter. Enjoy.

There are just far too many good anti-Henderson Tweets, all of which are coated in a fine, sugary layer of Rebel Schadenfreude. There are so many, in fact, that I'm having a hard time picking a favorite! There's the "I wanna commit violence against Henderson" guy, the "I could play basketball as well as Henderson guy," the hordes of people evoking the tired and stupid "class" argument in a sports rivalry, moral equivalence, righteous indignation, pure hatred... The list goes on!

It's like Andy Kennedy remarked last night, "Marshall's gonna be Marshall," and that's enough to drive any True Maroon State fan up the wall with outrage. Well, that and...
