Let's be frank: week 13 has a rather lackluster slate of games for us college football fans.
The SEC's habit of scheduling FCS teams late because the conference begins intra-league play earlier than most is exceptionally prevalent this week, with such enthralling matchups as South Alabama at South Carolina, Western Carolina at Alabama, and Samford at Auburn dotting the schedule. The B1G's got all intra-conference play today - a legit seven games among 14 teams - but outside of maybe Minnesota versus Nebraska most of them either feature two bad teams or Wisconsin/Ohio State versus a bad team. The ACC's still the ACC, and the Big 12 cashed in an interesting-ish game already with thursday night's Kansas State/West Virginia game.
That leaves us with slim pickings this week as far as quality entertainment goes, but it's all worth watching. Ole Miss and Arkansas is, interestingly enough, one of the week's legitimately interesting matchups, as are Southern Cal versus UCLA, Baylor versus Oklahoma State, Louisville versus Notre Dame, and Arizona versus Utah.
