The latest College Football Playoff rankings have the Rebels back in the top ten, with Ole Miss coming in at that tenth spot after a week spent as No. 11. Surely they were captivated by the Rebs' shutout of the mighty Presbyterian Blue Hose - or maybe the Rebs had a shot to move up after Michigan State lost to Ohio State.
Either way, Ole Miss is sitting in a tough but not impossible spot playoff wise at 8-2 with two regular season games left to play. If Ole Miss wins out, and some other teams lose along the way, the Rebels will have a berth in the SEC Championship Game. Win that, and there's pretty much no way an 11-2 SEC Champion is counted out of the playoff along with Florida State, TCU, and whoever wins the Pac 12.
