Shit's gone pretty well as of late for Ole Miss in Nashville, where the Rebel roundballers will face Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. The football team kicked off the 2013 season with a heart-stopping thriller of win over the Commodores in August, then closed it in December with a Music City Bowl victory over Georgia Tech.
Oh, and there was this:
That would be Marshall Henderson sending the Rebels into overtime against Vandy last season (they would go on to win, 89-79) and simultaneously introducing the nation to Marshall Madness. He then dropped 23 on them two months later as the Rebs bounced the Commodores out of the SEC Tournament, which Ole Miss went on to win.
More Ole Miss vs. Vandy
More Ole Miss vs. Vandy
I'll give you one guess where that tournament was held.
The Vandy student section will be all over Marshall from tip to finish, because they, like every other student section that hosts him, haven't figured out the direct correlation between yelling at Marshall and the number of 3s he drops.
Ole Miss comes in 12-5 (3-1 SEC), while Vandy limps in at 9-7 and losers of three of their first four conference games.
CSS has the broadcast, but unfortunately hasn't assigned Kyle Macy to hashtag the action.
