Texas loses to Ole Miss, continues downward spiral | Campus Union - SI.com
There's turmoil in Austin, Texas, something of which we Rebels were the beneficiary this weekend. Don't be surprised if the Longhorns' head coach Mack Brown and AD Deloss Dodds are out at the end of the season. Also, don't let this temper your excitement over this victory either. It was a big win for the Rebel program no matter how you slice it (something I'll try to look at later).

Ole Miss keeps perspective after Texas win | The Clarion-Ledger
Our detractors are going to want to downplay Saturday's win, and while it might not be a victory over, say, the same Texas team that won the 2005 BCS National Title, it's still a very significant milestone for a program that, just a year-and-a-half ago, was without a doubt performing as poorly as any in the SEC.
Even the EotC understands how big this win could be for the program moving forward.
But even he had to admit this step could turn out to be more than a leap. The Rebels beat a traditional power on the road in front of more than 100,000 fans, are 3-0 for the first time in the lives of any of its players and moved up to No. 21 in this week’s AP poll.
